No app for them to install. No wearables. No cameras. Just a kind daily check-in.
We'll only email you about the beta. No spam, no selling your address.
You add your parent — their name, phone number, and a check-in time that works for them.
Each day at that time, they get a text from you. They tap a link and tap “I'm okay.” That's the whole interaction.
You get a notification. If they miss a check-in, we send them a gentle reminder. If they still don't respond, we alert you.

Building MorningThread
The idea came from a real conversation. My mother-in-law said she'd love a way to keep an eye on her father — nothing invasive, no cameras, no wearables he'd refuse to wear, just a way to know he was okay each day without nagging him or making him feel watched.
Every product we looked at either required her dad to download and learn an app (he wouldn't), or felt like medical-alert surveillance (he'd hate it). The fancy ones wanted him to wear something. The simple ones still needed a smartphone app he didn't have and wouldn't use.
MorningThread is the thing we wished existed for her. A text message he already knows how to open, a single link to tap, and a big button that says “I'm okay.” That's it. No account, no app, no learning curve. If he taps it, she knows he's fine. If he doesn't, she knows to call.
